Individual Counseling

A racing mind, intrusive thoughts, feeling like you’re holding it together. Virtual Christian Counseling can help you find your way back to feeling like you again.

Virtual Individual Counseling in Pennsylvania

Some things are hard to say out loud — even to the people closest to you. Individual counseling is a space that's entirely yours: one hour where you don't have to manage anyone else's feelings, perform, or have it all together. Maybe you're carrying anxiety, a sadness you can't shake, anger that surprises you, or a quiet sense that you're not who you want to be. Maybe you look fine on paper and still feel stuck. Wherever you are, the goal is the same — to help you grow into the person God created you to be.

What is Individual Counselling Like?

We tailor each step to you. That might mean CBT or ACT for anxious or stuck thinking, EMDR and the Flash Technique for trauma and painful memories, emotionally focused work for the patterns that show up in your relationships, or the Neurosequential Model when the body and nervous system need to come along too. Your faith is woven in as much or as little as you're comfortable with — sometimes that means prayer and Scripture in the room, sometimes it simply means working with a counselor who shares your worldview. The aim isn't only symptom relief; it's the slow, real change of becoming more whole.

At Growth Counseling, we offer faith-integrated, evidence-based therapy for adults across Pennsylvania, all online. You don't have to choose between your faith and real clinical care. We bring both — the timeless truths of Scripture and proven therapeutic methods — to help you grow into the person God created you to be.

What Individual Counseling Helps With?

Everyone's story is different, but the work often touches on:

  • Anxiety, worry, and overwhelm

  • Depression, discouragement, and low motivation

  • Trauma and painful memories

  • Anger and emotional reactivity

  • Grief and loss

  • Faith — a place to wrestle honestly with doubt, disappointment, or hard questions, and to find encouragement and grow

  • Identity, purpose, and direction

  • Men's issues and the pressure to carry everything alone

  • Life transitions — career, marriage, parenting, loss, or a new season

Our Approach

We integrate evidence-based clinical practices — including EMDR (trauma-informed), the Flash Technique, CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), inner healing, emotionally focused therapy, and the Neurosequential Model — all viewed through a biblical worldview. Faith and Scripture are woven in as much or as little as you're comfortable with. The goal is whole-person healing: mind, body, and spirit.
