About Growth Counseling

At Growth Counseling, our mission is to bring together the timeless truths of the Bible and the proven tools of therapy to help individuals, couples, and families live more full and abundant lives in Christ.

We provide individual counseling, marriage counseling, teen counseling, and premarital counseling, walking with clients through challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, and pornography addiction.

Alongside practical faith-based guidance, we integrate evidence-based clinical practices—including EMDR (Trauma-informed), Flash Technique, CBT, ACT and the Neuro-Sequential Model (Brain-based)—all viewed through the lens of a biblical worldview. Our goal is to help you grow in healing, hope, and in deeper connection to Christ and to those you love.

Daniel Moyer, MA, LAPC

I’m Dan — a happily married father of three (#twindad), spreading roots in a suburb outside of Philadelphia. I’m a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Waynesburg University. I come alongside individuals and couples to help them manage and heal anxiety, depression, men’s issues, OCD, intrusive thoughts, and communication and relationship struggles.

God has a funny way of nudging us in the direction we are meant to go, as long as we listen. Many years after earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts and building successful businesses in photography and life coaching, I found myself called into a much different chapter as a therapist. My kids were the ones who put a magnifying glass on the work I needed to do on myself — and walking through that process is what led me to this profession.

As a therapist, my goal is to create a space where you can show up as yourself and share your experience without judgment. I draw on evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). At the intersection of scripture, faith, and those techniques, growth and healing are possible. Through faith, honest relationships, and a willingness to sit with discomfort, you can build the life you want — and you don’t have to do it alone.

Outside of work, I love running, the Phillies, home improvement projects, reading fiction and non-fiction, and cooking Mediterranean food, Asian food, and pizza.
