If you live in central Montgomery County, our office is probably closer than you think. This page answers the questions people ask before a first visit: how long the drive really is, where to park, which door to use, and when it makes more sense to skip the drive and meet online.
We have one office, at 910 Lenmar Dr in Blue Bell, and we see people from all over the county there. We also meet online with anyone in Pennsylvania.
Where the office is
910 Lenmar Dr sits just off Skippack Pike, which is Route 73, about five minutes from the Blue Bell Country Club and ten minutes from the Plymouth Meeting Mall.
From the Pennsylvania Turnpike, take the Lansdale or Norristown exit. From Route 202, take Skippack Pike toward Blue Bell. Put "910 Lenmar Dr, Blue Bell, PA 19422" into your map and it brings you to the right building.
One thing to know before you pull in: the sign on the building reads 900 Lenmar Drive. That's us.
Drive times from nearby towns
These are ordinary mid-day times. Rush hour on Route 202, Germantown Pike and Skippack Pike can add ten minutes or more, which is one reason the afternoon appointments are the easiest to keep.
Ambler: about 10 minutes, Butler Pike to Skippack Pike.
North Wales: about 10 to 15 minutes, by way of Route 202.
Plymouth Meeting: about 10 to 15 minutes, Germantown Pike to Walton Road.
Norristown: about 15 minutes, Route 202 to Skippack Pike.
Fort Washington and Lafayette Hill: about 15 minutes each.
Conshohocken: about 15 to 20 minutes, up through Plymouth Meeting on Germantown Pike.
Lansdale: about 15 to 20 minutes, Route 63 to Route 202.
Skippack: about 20 minutes, straight down Skippack Pike.
King of Prussia: about 20 to 25 minutes, Route 202 to Skippack Pike.
Collegeville: about 25 to 30 minutes, Germantown Pike to Skippack Pike.
If you're farther out than that, read the section on meeting online before you decide.
Parking and the door
We practice inside the Be Well Private Practice suite, so there's no Growth Counseling sign on the door. Park for free in the Be Well spaces in front of the building, and come in the Be Well Private Practice door.
There's no waiting room with a front desk. Arrive a few minutes before your session and your counselor will meet you.
The paperwork is handled online before your first visit, so there's nothing to fill out when you walk in. Sessions are fifty minutes.
When online is the better choice
Every session we offer in person is also available by secure video.
Online makes more sense when the drive would cost you more than the hour gives back: a five o'clock commute from Lansdale, a sick kid at home, a lunch break that is exactly an hour long, a snow day. It's also the practical choice if you live farther out in Pennsylvania.
In person makes more sense when home isn't private, when you want the hour to be a clean break from the house, or when the work goes better with another person across from you. Some people simply think more clearly in a different building.
You don't have to pick one and stay with it. Many people meet in person when the week allows and online when it doesn't. Tell your counselor what the week looks like and switch.
For an online session you need a private spot, a decent internet connection, and a phone, tablet or computer with a camera. The link arrives before the appointment. You need to be physically in Pennsylvania during the session, which is a licensing rule.
What we help with
The work at the Blue Bell office is the same work the practice is known for: marriage counseling, anxiety, depression, EMDR for trauma, counseling for men, premarital counseling and individual counseling. Our licensed Christian counselors bring faith into the work as much as you want it, and you don't have to be a Christian to come.
Cost and insurance
Sessions are $165 for fifty minutes, with reduced rates available during afternoon hours (10am to 3pm) for those who need them. We accept HSA/FSA cards. We're out-of-network and provide superbills you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement, and your care stays private. Common questions
Do you have evening appointments? Ask on the consultation call and we'll tell you what's open that week. Afternoon slots are the easiest to get and carry the reduced rate.
Is the office accessible? Ask us when you book and we'll describe the entrance and the room, so you know before you come.
Can my spouse join a couples session online from a different location? Yes, as long as both of you are in Pennsylvania at the time.
I live in Bucks County or Philadelphia. Is that too far? Not for online. For in person, much of lower Bucks County and northwest Philadelphia is half an hour or more away depending on traffic, so you might come in once in a while and meet online the rest of the time.
